Introduction
Trust Mapping is committed to upholding strict privacy principles with regard to all information collected. This Privacy Policy sets out how Trust Mapping handles personal information.
In this Privacy Policy, ‘Trust Mapping’, ‘We’ refers to any person or entity involved in the undertaking of Trust Mapping. ‘You’ and ‘Your’ refers to the student undertaking Trust Mapping, or their parent or guardian.

How we collect and manage personal information
We collect personal information from you directly when you complete the Trust Mapping survey. On occasions it may be necessary to obtain personal information from the school you are attending.
It must be noted that all information collected is with your consent, and treated with the strictest confidentiality.
Purpose for collecting personal information
We collect, hold and use your personal information for a number of purposes including:
- To verify your identity
- For administrative purposes
- To track your Trust Mapping results longitudinally
- To provide Trust Mapping services
- To conduct further research into connectedness and bullying in schools
Access and disclosure of personal information
Only members of the Trust Mapping team, and agreed members of your school will have access to your personal information. Each of these people will have signed a confidentiality agreement which can be found at the end of this policy. A list of Trust Mapping team members can be provided upon request.
Information obtained through the Trust Mapping process will only be disclosed to third parties in a generic format. This means that no identifying information will be included. The only time that identifying information will be included is if you have previously consented. Your personal information may be disclosed without your consent if it is deemed that you or others are at risk of harm.
Management of information
Trust Mapping stores your information in electronic format. Security measures are taken to protect the information via password protected technology.
Complaints
If you wish to make a complaint regarding the handling of your personal information, please outline the details of your complaint in writing, and refer to the ‘how to contact us’ section.
